Ingredients:
- 1 small can tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons oil/ghee
- 1 small chopped onion
- 4-5 curry leaves finely crushed
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2-3 basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons crushed ginger and garlic paste
- 1-2 green chillies (optional)
- Salt (according to taste)
- 1 pinch sugar
- Coriander leaves finely chopped
- Heat oil in saucepan on medium heat.
- Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste. Let roast for 10-30 seconds.
- Add green chillies, basil leaves and curry leaves. Let roast for 5-10 seconds.
- Add tomato puree, black pepper, salt and sugar. Cover and let it cook for around 10-15 minutes until rich red in colour.
