Tomato Sauce For Spagetti/Macaroni



Ingredients:
  • 1 small can tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons oil/ghee
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 4-5 curry leaves finely crushed
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2-3 basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons crushed ginger and garlic paste
  • 1-2 green chillies (optional)
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
Method:
  1. Heat oil in saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste. Let roast for 10-30 seconds.
  3. Add green chillies, basil leaves and curry leaves. Let roast for 5-10 seconds.
  4. Add tomato puree, black pepper, salt and sugar. Cover and let it cook for around 10-15 minutes until rich red in colour.
 Your tomato sauce is ready! Sprinkle with some coriander leaves and add to your pasta for a very delicious meal. Enjoy!
