Homemade Paneer


Ingredients:

  • 8-10 tablespoons of milk powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lime or lemon's juice 


Method:
  • Boil water in a saucepan.
  • Add the milk powder and mix well to prevent any lumps.
  • When it starts to boil, pour the lemon juice.
  • Let the milk seperate from the water completely.
  • Remove from heat.
  • In bowl, spread a clean cloth.
  • Pour the mixture in the cloth.
  • Being careful about the heat, try to press the excess water out of the cloth.
  • Squeeze all the water from the cloth until dried completely.
  • Remove the paneer from the cloth onto a large plate.
  • Knead the paneer for around 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes sticky and all the pieces come together to form a dough.
  • Shape into a large square or rectangle and cut into cubes.
